L'Helice Terrestre

Today we went to an area were the geology provided a sandstone like building material that was perfect for people to carve caves to live in. So peppered across the landscape were old Troglodyte (cave dweller) homes built into cliff faces. This place was an old cave dweller community that an artist had carved into his work. It was very peaceful out there and well off the beaten path.
We walked in under lovely grapes hanging from vines.

Coke and Camille taking a photo break on the fake leather couch.

Many rooms cut into the rock in fun shapes and different levels.

This was a crazy sculpted way to get into the caves.
Marian is showing us the grapes there. They tasted good.

Here is a "Time Portal Portal" or "Portail voyage dans le temps" the guy had built, but supposedly it never really worked.
I tried the time tunnel and only enough I did find myself several days later in ancient Roman times.
And every cave needs a bathroom.

It worked.
